Project Overview

Organizations operating in safety-critical and field-intensive environments often struggle with manual monitoring, delayed inspections, and inconsistent compliance checks. These challenges become even more complex when teams work across large sites, public spaces, or industrial depots where hands-free operation, real-time insights, and offline reliability are essential.
The objective of this project was to bring AI-powered vision directly to the field using smart glasses and mobile technology. Instead of analyzing data after the fact, the goal was to enable real-time visibility and decision-making at the point of action, where safety, accuracy, and speed matter the most.
By integrating wearable devices, Android mobile applications, and computer vision models, the solution allowed AI to operate alongside field teams, hands-free, reliable, and ready for real-world conditions.

AI Processing

  • On-Device AI: Real-time PPE compliance detection using TensorFlow Lite with low latency and offline support for healthcare and safety environments.

  • Backend AI: Video-based analysis for posture/emotion detection in healthcare scenarios and vehicle inspection use cases with scalable processing across locations and devices.

Results & Impact

  • Enabled real-time PPE compliance detection, including helmets, masks, gloves, and safety vests. without cloud dependency.

  • Implemented scalable backend video analysis for complex inspection and monitoring scenarios.

  • Analysed posture and movement patterns to identify indicators such as discomfort or restlessness without relying on facial recognition.
